Hair Restoration Treatments

Pre- Treatment Preparation 

• Avoid Certain Medications: Discontinue use of blood thinners and anti-inflammatory medications as advised by your practitioner, usually a few days before the treatment.
• Hydration and Nutrition: Stay well-hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to optimize blood quality for the PRP.
• Shampooing: Wash your hair thoroughly on the day of your appointment to ensure the scalp is clean.

During the Treatment 

• Blood Draw (if using PRP): A small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm to prepare the PRP.
• PRP Preparation: The blood is processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma.
• PRP or Exosomes Injections: The PRP is injected into the areas of the scalp where hair thinning or loss is occurring, using a fine needle.
• Microneedling (Optional): Some treatments may include microneedling to enhance PRP absorption and stimulate the scalp further.

Immediately After the Treatment

• Mild Discomfort: Expect some mild discomfort, tenderness, or swelling at the injection sites, which typically subsides within a few hours to a day.
• Redness and Swelling: There may be some redness and mild swelling in the treated areas.

Post-Treatment Care

• Avoid Hair Washing: Refrain from washing your hair for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
• Gentle Hair Care: Use gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and avoid harsh hair products for a few days.
• Avoid Heat: Avoid using hair dryers, curling irons, or other heat-styling tools for a couple of days.
• Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your scalp from direct sun exposure by wearing a hat or using a sunscreen formulated for the scalp.

Healing and Results

• Initial Shedding: You may notice some initial shedding of weak hairs, which is a normal part of the process.
• Hair Growth: New hair growth may begin to appear in 2-3 months, with more noticeable results around 6-12 months as the hair continues to thicken and grow.
• Multiple Sessions: For optimal results, multiple sessions (typically 3-4) spaced about 4-6 weeks apart are usually recommended.
